Armed Citizens? Over There, But Not Here

This worked for the British in their wars of the Victorian Britannia colonial era when tribes rose up against British rule. It worked with the US subduing of American Indians. It worked with the French Resistance during WW II.
What is the key?
"For now, they [the US Military] are not arming the groups [Afghan home guard] because they already have guns."
If every law abiding man and woman in the USA HAD TO carry a concealed weapon everywhere he went, terrorists like Major Hasan would pause before they screamed "Allah u Akbar." And, ironically, many of the men in the USA "already have guns." They simply are not permitted to carry them-- they must be kept at home so that the criminals are given a fair chance to kill and maim their victims.
If every law abiding man carried a gun, mass killers would have to face the reality that they would not kill 30 or 50 people when they opened fire on a play ground or inside a restaurant. They would be dead meat after they fired maybe five rounds at the most.
There would be NO illegal immigration problem on our southern border if every man in every border county of every state from Brownsville to Tijuana had to carry a concealed weapon.
So, will the US Government arm the men of America? Would they see how many lives would be saved by doing this? Would they see how much money would be saved by allowing the citizens to supplement the Border Patrol and Immigration Departments?
Never, because the Liberals, both Democrats and Republicans, in Washington DC, want to keep the "Federal Option"-- the right to disarm Americans. The "Federal Option" is really all about the Feds taking control-- key word now days-- CONTROL.
They do not give diddly how many innocent people die or are raped by criminals. The Federal pols all carry guns themselves. But, they want YOU to be defenseless so you will submit if the day ever comes when the Feds decide to take away all of your rights in one fell swoop.
